ANGELFISH SUFFOCATE ME with vocals by Shirley Manson

Steve Marker first saw Shirley Manson on MTV's 120 Minutes in 1994. He saw the one and only showing of the Angelfish's Suffocate Me video and liked Shirley's understated vocals and thought she would be an ideal singer for them.

During a break in Angelfish's North American tour Manson took a brief detour to Butch Vig's Smart Studios in Madison WI to record some tracks. The success of this tentative partnership soon blossomed into what would become Garbage.
